Taxi falls into well in Nalasopara, two seriously injured

Two people were seriously injured after a taxi fell into a 20-25ft deep well in Nalasopara near Mumbai on Tuesday, as per reports.

The accident reportedly happened near Saraswati temple in Santosh Bhavan area. As per report, the black and yellow taxi lost control and broke through a safety wall before falling in the well.

According to initial reports, the driver and his companion were under the influence of alcohol. Reportedly the taxi was being driven at a high speed, which caused the driver to lose control. 

After the incident, local residents quickly informed the authorities. Reportedly, police and fire brigade reached the spot and started rescue operation, both injured persons were taken out of the well and reached to a nearby hospital.

As per reports, doctors at hospital said that both victims are in serious condition and are receiving treatment. Their identities have not been officially confirmed yet. Police have started an investigation into the incident.
