The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) carried out late-night raids at four locations in Mumbai’s suburbs over suspected links to a Pakistan-based terror outfit, an official said on Tuesday, as per reports.

Acting on specific intelligence inputs, the ATS reportedly searched three premises in the eastern suburb of Govandi and one in Kurla.

As per reports, the official said four suspects had been detained for questioning. He added that they were allegedly in contact with a Pakistan-based organisation banned in India under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

Incriminating material was seized during the operation, and the suspects are being interrogated regarding their alleged links to the proscribed outfit, the official said.

Several ATS teams took part in the operation, with personnel from the Kalachowki and Nagpada units assisting the Vikhroli unit during the coordinated raids.

Mobile phones, laptops and other electronic devices reportedly recovered during the searches are being examined. Although the operation concluded late at night, officials indicated that further raids could be conducted in other parts of the city based on emerging evidence. Investigations are continuing.
