Four arrested for shooting outside Rohit Shetty’s house, Bishnoi gang link under probe

Mumbai police arrested four suspects in connection with the firing incident outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence in Juhu. The arrests follows an initial investigation that has reportedly revealed links between the accused and Shubham Lonkar, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang who is also named in the Baba Siddique murder case.
The suspects were part of a group earlier detained in Pune and later transferred to Mumbai, where a court sent them to police custody until February 5.
Officials said the shooting took place around 12.45 am on Sunday, when multiple gunshots were fired at the first floor of the nine-storey building, with one bullet damaging the glass facade of a gym inside the premises.
No one was hurt in the firing, and it is still unclear whether Rohit Shetty was at home at the time. Police teams from Juhu and the crime branch immediately reached the spot and checked CCTV footage to piece together what happened.
Security around the filmmaker’s residence has been tightened, and it may also be increased at his film sets. If Golmaal 5 begins shooting as planned from February 15, a large security detail will be developed, including local police and Shetty’s personal guards. Entry to the sets will be strictly controlled, with ID checks, pre-registered crew members only, and closely monitored vehicle movement.
