Want to go back to school life? You can experience school life for ₹17,000 in Japan
Japan has launched a unique initiative to boost tourism called the ‘One-Day Student’ scheme, allowing foreign tourists to experience a day in the life of a Japanese school.
For 30,000 yen (₹17,000), tourists of any age can immerse themselves in school life for a day, according to reports. However, with limited seats available, only 30 participants can take part in this exclusive experience.
The program reportedly offers a glimpse into the workings of Japanese schools and the vibrant atmosphere of school life. In addition to attending classes, visitors can wear traditional kimonos, learn to use a katana (Japanese sword), and participate in traditional Japanese dance.
A key part of the experience also includes disaster drills, teaching visitors vital emergency response skills, just as students are trained. Given Japan’s earthquake-prone nature, participants learn essential safety techniques, including how to quickly duck under their desks during an earthquake.
