Janmashtami, the day believed to be the birth day of Lord Krishna, is celebrated every year in India with great fanfare.
This time Janmashtami will be celebrated on Aug 26 (Monday), making up for a long weekend from Aug 24-26. This, definitely calls for a short trip, a perfect getaway to break the monotony.

Binsar
Binsar Hill Station, located in Uttarakhand, is a perfect place for a getaway. Situated close to Zero Point, Nanda Devi, Kedarnath, and other Himalayan hilltops. The wildlife sanctuary is a must-visit place here, a perfect escapade to nature.
Jaipur
The Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, Albert Hall Museum, Nahargarh Fort, Jaigarh Fort, and City Palace of the ‘Pink City’ are the places where you can time travel to the royal era of India.

Jim Corbett National Park
The Jim Corbett National Park is one of the oldest National Parks of India, located near Ramnagar in Nainital district of Uttarakhand. About 250 km away from Delhi, the park is know for its tiger and leopard sightings.
Apart from the big cats, the park is home to elephants, deers, nilgai, and a plethora of flora and fauna.
