Priya Patil, stylist to Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, made her debut at the Paris Fashion Week, describing the experience as “a night to remember”.

According to her website, Patil has been associated with Bachchan’s wardrobe since season 10 of the television quiz show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. Drawing inspiration from the response to her styling work on the show, she launched her bespoke menswear label in 2020.

An alumnus of Nottingham Trent University in the UK and the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in India, Patil has worked with fashion houses across India, the United States and the United Kingdom, including assignments in New York.

Apart from menswear, Patil also runs a women’s accessories label focused on handbags and accessories. She has also spoken on entrepreneurship at a TEDx event at TEDxSIULavale.

Earlier in her career, Patil was named ‘India’s Creative Entrepreneur’ of the Year in 2007 after winning the ‘India’s Creative Future’ title for her scarf accessory line in a competition organised by the British Council UK and the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. She was also featured by the BBC in programmes including India’s Creatives on BBC Outlook and BBC India Rising.

Patil was felicitated for her work by Cherie Blair, wife of former British prime minister Tony Blair, at the Prime Minister’s residence at 10 Downing Street in London.
