Former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s grandson, Junaid Safdar, recently tied the knot with Shanzay Ali Rohail in a high-profile wedding ceremony held in Lahore, as per reports.
However, the event has attracted widespread public interest beyond political circles, after photos of the bride surfaced online, wearing outfits designed by Indian designers.
According to reports, Rohail is the granddaughter of Rohail Asghar, a close political associate of Nawaz Sharif. The wedding celebrations spanned multiple events, including a mehendi function and the main wedding ceremony, drawing attention on social media as photographs and videos from the festivities circulated widely.
Much of the online discussion centred on the bride’s wedding attire. For the mehendi ceremony, Shanzay opted for an emerald green lehenga created by Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, featuring intricate traditional embroidery and coordinated jewellery.
For the wedding ceremony, she chose a red saree designed by Tarun Tahiliani, another prominent Indian designer.
