Event: Fest: Sahityansh
Ahmedabad is all set to witness the second edition of Sahityansh 2025 on October 10 (Saturday), promising a vibrant celebration of literature and art. Described as “the heartbeat of the soul” by its organisers, the festival will feature an array of soulful mehfils, engaging poetry sessions, and powerful theatrical performances that bring literary works to life.

Event: Comedy: The Lavari Show
Gujarati Stand-up comedy honchos Manan Desai, Chirayu Mistry, Deep Vaidya and Om Bhatt are back in the A-town with ‘The Lavari show’. As the name and poster suggests, these 4 comedians will not just perform standup but also do Improv, and live podcasts with various celebrity guests. The show is packed with laughter and hilarious anecdotes that will tickle your funny bone.

Event: Ahmedabad International Literature Festival
The 10th Ahmedabad International Literature Festival (AILF) is set to be held on October 11 and 12, focusing on the theme “Literature and Cinema.” The festival is anticipated to draw a diverse audience, including authors, filmmakers, theatre artists, and literary scholars. Notably, Navneet Kumar Sehgal, Chairman of Prasar Bharati, is expected to attend and take part in discussions and activities over the two days, highlighting the festival’s unique intersection of public service, media, and cultural storytelling.

In this play, a theatre group is preparing for their upcoming show, but just a day before the performance, the lead actor breaks his leg. The producer gives up in despair. The actors, however, insist — “The show must go on!” But the question is — will the show really happen? And if it does, how will it happen? What challenges will they face in such unexpected circumstances?

Event: Music: Niazi Brothers
Renowned Qawwals and Sufi singers from the Rampur Gharana, Shahid Niazi and Sami Niazi (the Niazi Brothers) will perform in Ahmedabad. Upholding a 250-year-old family tradition, they continue to keep the legacy of Rampur Qawwali alive, mesmerising audiences worldwide with their music.

Dashavtār – a Kathak performance choreographed by Gurus Maulik Shah and Ishira Parikh, with music by Pt Shri Atul Desai, will be presented by dancers Raina Parikh and Kadam Parikh. The event, open for all, will take place at the Lecture Hall, L D Museum.

Event: Exhibition: Threads of Tradition by Pushpa Shah
An art exhibition titled “Threads of Tradition – A Connection to the Roots” is open until October 12. The solo show, which explores heritage and emotions through painting, was inaugurated by art and antiquities collector Dr Hiren Shah, with blessings from eminent artists and academicians. The exhibition is sponsored by Gujarat State Lalitkala Academy.
