Body Parts Found In Two Sacks
The search took a grim turn on September 5, when information emerged that human body parts had been found inside two plastic sacks near a village lake.
Police reached the spot along with the family and recovered the remains. One sack reportedly contained the portion of the body from the head to the waist, while the remaining part was found in the second sack.
A preliminary investigation also indicated that the deceased had suffered a serious injury to the head caused by a sharp weapon.
Police Probe Possible Motive
Police have begun investigating the circumstances surrounding Lakkhu’s disappearance and murder, including the movements of the deceased before he went missing.
The family has also provided information about his personal life. Lakkhu had been married to Sheetal, a native of Maharashtra’s Amravati, for around 20 years, and the couple had an 18-year-old son, Ravi.
According to the family, the couple had developed differences around a year ago, following which Sheetal had moved away. She later returned with their son after relatives intervened.
She had recently travelled to Amravati with her mother, the family said.
The motive behind the murder and the identity of those responsible are yet to be established.
