Gandhinagar Builder Death: Police Launch Operations in Jamnagar

A Gandhinagar police team reached Jamnagar on Sunday to investigate the death of city-based builder Meramanbhai Parmar. The team from Adalaj Police Station arrived with two to three vehicles and, with the help of Jamnagar’s C-Division Police, checked several places linked to the people named in the case.

The police team visited residential and other locations, including an area near Khodiyar Colony. However, none of the 11 people named as accused in the complaint were found in Jamnagar at the time of the police visit. The team also questioned some local people and collected preliminary information related to the case.

Meramanbhai Parmar’s son Dev Parmar had filed a complaint at Adalaj Police Station on August 27 against 11 people. The complaint alleges that Meramanbhai was subjected to mental harassment over land, property and financial dealings and was allegedly pressured for more money.

According to the complaint, Meramanbhai died after consuming a poisonous substance. His family has alleged that the death was linked to mental harassment and was not a natural death.

The complaint also states that Meramanbhai had written two separate suicide notes before his death. The notes allegedly contain details about financial transactions, property documents and people connected with the matter.

The police are examining bank statements, land and property documents, Sub-Registrar records, financial transactions and the alleged suicide notes as part of the investigation.

Probe into 28 properties and transactions worth over ₹153 crore

The complaint refers to around 28 land and property transactions in Jamnagar city, Naghhedi Nagarsima and the limits of Ravalser village. According to the complainant, the records point to property transactions worth more than ₹153 crore. The police will verify these transactions during the investigation.

School property deal also under investigation

The complaint also mentions a property deal involving Nandvigyan Niketan School. It alleges that documents giving a share in the property were made as security against financial investment, followed by demands for more money.

The police are now examining the related documents and financial transactions. The exact facts and the truth of the allegations will become clear as the investigation progresses.
