College Student Killed, Two Injured as Motorcycle Hits Cow in Jamnagar

A 21-year-old college student was killed after his motorcycle collided with a stray cow near Chela village in Jamnagar district, police said.

The victim, identified as Amit Hamirbhai Solanki, a resident of Dared village in Jamnagar, was travelling with two friends on a Honda motorcycle towards the Chela Vision area when the stray animal suddenly swerved onto the road near the SRP camp. The impact threw all three riders off the vehicle, crashing them onto the roadside footpath.

Fatal Crash Near SRP Camp

Amit suffered severe head injuries in the collision, while his companions Rahul (20) and Vijay (19) sustained injuries across their bodies. Responders rushed all three youths to G.G. Hospital in Jamnagar for medical treatment.

Amit succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital, while his two companions received care for their injuries.

Following the incident, officers from the Panchkoshi-B Division Police Station formally registered the case to record the fatality.

Police confirmed that a case of accidental death has been logged under Section 194 of the Indian Civil Protection Code (Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita), with further official procedures being carried out.
