Bomb Scare in Jamnagar: Sniffer Dogs and Bomb Squad Search Post Office

Security agencies carried out an intensive search operation at Jamnagar's main post office late on Wednesday evening following a series of bomb threats sent through the postal system in different parts of Gujarat.

Teams from the bomb disposal squad, Special Operations Group (SOG) and local police participated in the exercise as authorities heightened vigilance amid concerns over suspicious parcels and postal consignments.

Parcels Screened With Detection Equipment and Dog Squad

During the operation, officials examined parcels and other items stored at the post office using bomb detection equipment and sniffer dogs.

Police said the search was conducted thoroughly as part of standard security protocols adopted in response to recent threat alerts reported from various cities in the state.

No Suspicious Material Found

Authorities confirmed that no explosive, objectionable or suspicious material was discovered during the search operation.

Officials said the exercise was purely precautionary and there was no immediate threat to public safety.

Postal Operations Continue as Normal

Following the completion of the inspection, normal operations at the post office resumed without disruption.

Police appealed to citizens not to pay attention to rumours and urged members of the public to immediately report any suspicious object, parcel or information to the authorities.
