Yemen’s Houthi rebels report 65 deaths in US airstrike campaign

Suspected US airstrikes continued to batter rebel-controlled areas of Yemen into Wednesday, with the Houthis reporting that one strike killed at least four people near the Red Sea port city of Hodeidah, as per reports.
The intense campaign of airstrikes, carried out under President Donald Trump, is aimed at targeting the rebels over their attacks on shipping in Middle Eastern waters, a conflict linked to the Israel-Hamas war. According to Houthi reports, at least 65 people have been killed in the strikes.
The campaign shows no sign of stopping, as the Trump administration has again linked its airstrikes on the Iranian-backed Houthis to pressure Iran over its rapidly advancing nuclear program.
White House Press Secretary reportedly stated that the total number of strikes on Tuesday exceeded 200. According to reports, the Houthis have not acknowledged the loss of any of their leaders.
The US has not publicly named any individuals killed, though a message released from a leaked Signal conversation suggested that a rebel leader may have been targeted by a missile.
