US to release secret files on Kennedy, Martin Luther King assassinations
In a Cabinet meeting held by the US President Donald Trump, his Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard said that her department will declassify the documents related to assassinations of–
- Former US president John F Kennedy in 1963
- Reverend Martin Luther King Jr in 1968
- Former attorney general Robert F Kennedy in 1968
“Today, I announced the establishment of a new task force, charged with transparency and accountability, to restore trust in the Intelligence Community and end the weaponization of government against Americans,” said Gabbard in a social media post.
She added that her Director’s Initiatives Group, or “DIG,” is “already hard at work executing the tasks required by President Trump’s intelligence-related Executive Orders – such as ending wasteful spending, streamlining processes, identifying documents for declassification (Crossfire Hurricane, Biden’s censorship of Americans, documents related to JFK, RFK & MLK assassinations, and more), and leading ongoing efforts to expose the truth and root out abuses of power and politicization”.
Reportedly, US Health Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr, was also present at the meeting. When Trump asked him about the release of the document, he reportedly thanked the President, saying, “I’m very grateful.”
Gabbard was also all praise about Trump as she wrote on X, “President Trump promised the American people maximum transparency and accountability. We are committed to executing the President’s vision.”
