Nikita Casap, a 17-year-old from Wisconsin, US, has been formally charged with multiple felonies, including two counts of first-degree intentional homicide, in connection with the deaths of his mother Tatiana Casap (35) and stepfather Donald Mayer (51). The teen is also facing charges for hiding their bodies, theft, and identity fraud.

According to the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department, the murders are believed to have been premeditated. Authorities allege that Casap fatally shot both victims in February 2025 at their home in the village of Waukesha.

He lived in the home with their decomposing bodies for several weeks before fleeing with over $14,000 in cash, family passports, and even the family dog. Casap was later arrested in Kansas in March.

A recently unsealed federal warrant has reportedly revealed that Casap’s motives extended beyond family conflict, as per reports. Authorities believe he intended to use the stolen funds to finance an elaborate plan to assassinate US President Donald Trump and overthrow the federal government.

The teen allegedly purchased a drone and explosives and had been in contact with at least one Russian-speaking individual while plotting the act.

Investigators reportedly found a disturbing three-page antisemitic manifesto in Casap’s possession. The document reportedly praised Adolf Hitler and detailed Casap’s violent ambitions, raising further concerns about his ideological motivations and mental state.

In addition to the homicide charges, Casap is facing:

Two counts of hiding a corpse

Theft of movable property valued over $10,000

Operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent

Two counts of misappropriating identity information to obtain money

He remains in custody as law enforcement agencies continue to build their case.
