Trump says he will mediate peace talks between Iran, Israel, just like he did with India and Pakistan

Amid escalating tensions and open conflict between Iran and Israel, US President Donald Trump has announced his intention to mediate peace talks between the two nations. Trump said he aims to bring both countries to the negotiating table just as he did with India and Pakistan.
“Iran and Israel should make a deal and will make a deal just like I got India and Pakistan to make,” Trump said in a statement on Sunday. “In that case, I used trade with the United States to bring reason, cohesion, and sanity into the talks with two excellent leaders who were able to quickly make a decision and stop!”
Trump also referenced other foreign policy interventions he claims to have led successfully during his first term, including de-escalating tensions between Serbia and Kosovo, and between Egypt and Ethiopia over the Nile River dam dispute.
“Serbia and Kosovo were going at it hot and heavy, and that long-time conflict was ready to break out into war. I stopped it,” he said. “Another case is Egypt and Ethiopia and their fight over a massive dam affecting the magnificent Nile River. There is peace, at least for now, because of my intervention and it will stay that way!”
Promising similar results between Israel and Iran, Trump added, “We will have PEACE soon between Israel and Iran. Many calls and meetings are now taking place.”
He said, “I do a lot and never get credit for anything, but that’s OK. The people understand. Make the Middle East Great Again!”
