Trump likely to be nominated among 287 nominees for Nobel Peace Prize 2026

US President Donald Trump is likely to be nominated among 287 nominees for the Nobel Peace Prize 2026. Countries like Cambodia, Israel, and Pakistan are reportedly said to have nominated him citing his role in conflict resolution efforts. The final decision will be announced in October.
The Norwegian Nobel Committee has reportedly received a total of 287 nominations including 208 individuals and 79 organisations for the Nobel Peace Prize which they announced on Thursday.
For years, President Trump has constantly demanded the Nobel Peace Prize about his diplomatic breakthroughs and claimed he deserved the prestigious honour more than anyone else. Following his demand, leaders from Cambodia, Israel, and Pakistan have reportedly nominated Trump among the 287 nominees citing his efforts to resolve conflicts.
The claim cannot be officially verified as all nomination names will remain in secret for 50 years as per the rule.
Reportedly, many new names were nominated for the prize. Several names have surfaced like US senator Lisa Murkowski and Greenlandic-Danish parliamentarian Aaja Chemnitz are nominated for their long trust- building efforts. Moreover, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and climate activist Greta Thunberg name also surfaced for nomination.
The Nobel Peace Prize 2026 will reportedly be announced on October 9 and the award ceremony will take place on December 10.
