US President Donald Trump has suggested that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy should accept partial blame for the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, indicating that he shares responsibility with Russian President Vladimir Putin and former US President Joe Biden for the scale of destruction and loss of life the war has caused, as per reports.

Trump’s remarks, made during a meeting with El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele, come in the aftermath of a deadly Russian missile strike on the Ukrainian city of Sumy. The attack, which occurred on Sunday, reportedly killed at least 35 people and is considered one of the deadliest incidents since the conflict began in 2022. Ukrainian officials have stated that the city was targeted again on Monday.

According to reports, Trump suggested that the actions and decisions of all three leaders Putin, Biden, and Zelenskyy have contributed to what he described as millions of deaths resulting from the war.

He also reportedly criticised Zelenskyy’s wartime strategy, implying that initiating resistance against a significantly stronger military force without guaranteed external support may have been a miscalculation.
