Thousands Of Devotees Celebrate Mahant Swami Maharaj’s 93rd Birth Anniversary In Paris

Thousands of devotees from across Europe and other parts of the world gathered at Bussy-Saint-Georges in France on Sunday to celebrate the 93rd birth anniversary of Mahant Swami Maharaj, the spiritual head of the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha.

The celebration, held in the presence of Mahant Swami Maharaj, marked the first time his birth anniversary was celebrated in Europe in his physical presence. The programme was organised as part of the Paris Temple Festival and was titled ‘Mahant Swami Maharaj: The Guru That Gives’.

The event presented his life and work through personal experiences, video presentations, speeches, music and dance performances.

Four Eternal Gifts Highlighted

The programme centred on four eternal gifts inspired by Mahant Swami Maharaj’s life spiritual knowledge and clarity, unity and harmony, selfless love, and a path towards experiencing God.

In the first session, BAPS Swami Gnanavatsal spoke about the clarity people have gained through Mahant Swami Maharaj’s spiritual knowledge and guidance.

Swami Adarshjivandas then spoke about his teachings on samp and his efforts to foster harmony among people from different countries, cultures and sections of society.

Focus On Selfless Love And Faith In God

Senior sadhu Swami Ishwarcharandas spoke about the love Mahant Swami Maharaj received from his gurus. Swami Anand Swarup and Swami Narayanmuni shared experiences of how his love and care had brought changes in people's lives.

Senior sadhu Swami Viveksagardas spoke about how Mahant Swami Maharaj guides people towards unwavering faith in God.

The programme concluded with children, teenagers, youths and senior devotees expressing their gratitude to Mahant Swami Maharaj together.

Paris Temple Reflects Spiritual Ideals

The newly built BAPS Swaminarayan Hindu Mandir in Paris was also presented as an enduring expression of the ideals of spiritual knowledge, unity, love and devotion.

At the conclusion of the programme, Mahant Swami Maharaj blessed the devotees who had gathered for the celebration.
