Talk of 45-day ceasefire amid Trump’s threat to blow up Iran

Amid the war with Iran, US President Donald Trump announced to blow up the Islamic nation on Tuesday. Meanwhile, a report claimed that America, Iran and regional mediators are discussing a potential 45-day ceasefire deal that could lead to a permanent end to the war.
In this deal, Pakistan, Turkey and Egypt are the mediators who are all negotiating with Trump’s envoy Steve Witkoff and Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi through text messages.
The report states that, if the negotiation goes smoothly, the deal will be divided in two phases. The first phase will be a 45-day ceasefire. The second phase would make an agreement to end the war that began on February 28 with US-Israeli strikes on Iran .
The Trump administration’s multiple proposals in recent days have not been accepted by Iran. The final deal could be reached only after the reopening of Strait of Hormuz and a solution for Iran’s Uranium stock is either dilution or removal from the country, the report suggests. On the other hand, the Iranian officials stressed that mediators don’t want to be caught in a Gaza or Lebanon situation where there is a ceasefire on paper, but the US and Israel attack again whenever they want.
