This comes days after the tragic crash of Air India flight AI171 from Ahmedabad to London, which crashed into a medical college’s campus minutes after takeoff on June 12.

The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft with 1.25 lakh litres of fuel and 242 on-board crashed into the hostel mess at a medical college in Ahmedabad, claiming at least 270 lives, where only one passenger survived the crash.

The crash led to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, the regulator of civil aviation in India, launching an investigation into Air India’s Dreamliners.

Ryanair was also involved in an emergency landing earlier this month, when the ultra-low-cost carrier’s flight from Berlin to Milan had to make an emergency landing in Memmingen, Germany, due to turbulence from a thunderstorm.

According to reports, nine passengers were injured in the incident.
