The ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine has intensified, with reports indicating that Russian forces have launched strikes targeting Ukrainian airport infrastructure and gas facilities. Ukrainian military sources have confirmed repelling multiple Russian offensives across the Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Kherson, and Luhansk regions, resulting in casualties and significant equipment losses on both sides.

The attack comes despite European countries holding an emergency meeting in Paris amid tensions with the US over the Russia-Ukraine conflict. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stated that Europe should continue to support Ukraine, emphasising that no dictated peace should be imposed on the country.

This also follows Donald Trump's promise to end the war in Ukraine if he is sworn in as the 47th President of the United States. Speaking at a victory rally, Trump told supporters that he would bring an end to the war in Ukraine, stop the chaos in West Asia, and launch the most aggressive crackdown on illegal immigration.
