Norwegian journalist Helle Lyng’s Insta, Facebook suspended after questioning PM Modi

Norwegian journalist Helle Lyng’s Instagram and Facebook accounts were suspended after she questioned Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a press conference in Norway.
During the interaction, Lyng asked PM Modi, “Why should we trust you? Can you promise to stop human rights violations in your country?” She also asked, “Will the Prime Minister start taking critical questions from the Indian press?”
Following the questions, PM Modi was seen leaving the conference room without addressing the media.
On Tuesday, Lyng claimed that both her Instagram and Facebook accounts had been suspended.
Taking to X, she wrote: “Throughout the day, I struggled to log into my Instagram account. Now it has been suspended. It is a small price to pay for press freedom, but I’ve never experienced anything like this before.”
She further added: “If you’re trying to reach me on Instagram or Facebook, I would like to let you know that both my accounts have been suspended. I wanted to respond to as many Indians as possible, but my replies will now be delayed. I hope I get my accounts back.” She also tagged Meta in the post.
