Los Angeles fire: Hollywood celebrities lose homes, Priyanka Chopra lauds first responders

As multiple major wildfires spread across Los Angeles, the multi-million dollar residences of Hollywood A-list celebs too are caught in the raging flames.

Indian actor Priyanka Chopra who lives in Los Angeles shared a terrifying wildfire view from her residence and praised the ‘brave first responders’.

“My thoughts are with everyone affected. Hope we are all able to be safe tonight,” wrote Chopra in her insta story.

Priyanka dropped another glimpse of the Palisades fire in Los Angeles, “Fast-moving Palisades fire in LA scorches thousands of acres, destroys homes.”

In the third Insta story, she wrote, “A huge shoutout to the incredibly brave first responders. Thank you for working tirelessly overnight and continuing to help families affected”.

LA, the posh in ashes

LA, especially Sunset Boulevard, is home to many Hollywood stars.

Several celebrities have lost their luxurious homes in the wildfire, as per news reports.

Pacific Palisades, where the fire reportedly engulfed mansions of Kamala Harris, Rihanna, Jennifer Aniston, Ben Affleck, Bradley Cooper, Adam Sandler and other celebrities. 

Canadian actor Cameron Mathison shared a video of his burnt mansion on social media and wrote, “We are safe, but this is what’s left of our beautiful home where our kids were raised and where they wanted to raise their own someday.”

Gossip Girl actor Leighton Meester and Adam Brody’s house has also been reportedly burned down in the Pacific Palisades wildfire.

Paris Hilton too confirmed the destruction of her home. “This home was where we built so many precious memories. It’s where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London,” she wrote on social media.

Mandy Moore revealed that her family evacuated, expressing her heartbreak on social media.

“My children’s school is gone. Our favorite restaurants, leveled. So many friends and loved ones have lost everything too. Our community is broken but we will be here to rebuild together,” she wrote.

Other stars, including Ben Affleck, Tom Hanks, Adam Sandler, and Steven Spielberg were reportedly forced to leave their residences in LA.

Veteran actor James Wood took to X and wrote that losing his home is like ‘losing a loved one’.

As per reports, at least five people have been killed in the wildfire and at least 1,100 buildings have been damaged.

The fire that broke out on Tuesday evening near a nature preserve in the inland foothills northeast of Los Angeles spread so rapidly that over 30,000 residents were forced to evacuate the area.
