‘Just Release Epstein Files’, Elon Musk slams Trump after he defends Bondi

Donald Trump’s friend-turned-foe Elon Musk has asked him to release the files related to the controversial case of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, as promised in 2019.
“Seriously. He said ‘Epstein’ half a dozen times while telling everyone to stop talking about Epstein. Just release the files as promised,” wrote Musk on X as a reply to a post.
This comes amid Trump’s supporters asking the MAGA leader about the Epstein files. A memo was released by the Justice Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) this week saying that ‘Epstein never had a client list’. It also said that there was no evidence that he had blackmailed significant personalities.
The report mentioned that the sex offender and late disgraced financier died by suicide in jail.
The Trump administration’s report was met with disbelief by Trump’s far-right supporters, who criticised key figures within the administration—such as Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel—despite their earlier support for and promotion of the ‘Epstein file’ conspiracy theories.
On Saturday, Trump defended Attorney General Pam Bondi after she faced criticism post the release of the memo.
Trump, in his Saturday post, wrote that Bondi is doing a “fantastic job” in her role.
He wrote, “What’s going on with my ‘boys’ and, in some cases, ‘gals?’ They’re all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB!” Trump wrote.
“We’re on one Team, MAGA, and I don’t like what’s happening. We have a PERFECT Administration, THE TALK OF THE WORLD, and ‘selfish people’ are trying to hurt it, all over a guy who never dies, Jeffrey Epstein.”
