Jimmy Kimmel mocks Donald Trump over remarks about skipping elder son’s wedding

Late night show host Jimmy Kimmel mocked Donald Trump after the US President Donald Trump made remarks on Truth Social about skipping his eldest son’s wedding amid tensions surrounding Iran.
Donald Trump Jr married Palm Beach socialite Bettina Anderson in a private ceremony held on a secluded island in the Bahamas. Around 40 close friends and family members reportedly attended the wedding.
However, Donald Trump was notably absent from the ceremony. A day before the wedding, Trump posted on Truth Social that circumstances are not allowing him to attend wedding, saying, “While I very much wanted to be with my son, Don Jr, and the newest member of the Trump Family, his soon to be wife, Bettina, circumstances pertaining to Government, and my love for the United States of America, do not allow me to do so. I feel it is important for me to remain in Washington, DC.”
Reacting to the post, Kimmel mocked Trump’s absence and sarcastically remarked that none of the 40 guests included the groom’s father, and said“Daddy Donald sent his RSVP via Truth Social,” on his show.
He also took dig at Trump attending UFC and playing golf, by saying, “This is a guy who golfs three times a week. He is going to UFC fights with Vanilla Ice. He was too busy with his son’s wedding.”
Kimmel further mocked Trump’s social media post praising the couple’s future marriage, joking about Trump’s own marital history, saying, Trump’s a man who knows a great marriage because he had been married three times.
The comedian also mentioned reports suggesting that Trump Jr and Bettina are still planning to celebrate their marriage at the White House, where Trump and wife Melania are expected to attend.
