The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have issued an evacuation order for the Hodeidah port in Yemen on Tuesday, while warning that it will be attacking the area in the upcoming hours.

IDF spokesperson Col Avichay Adraee announced, “Urgent Warning to Everyone Present at the Port of Hodeidah in Yemen. The Defense Army will attack in the coming hours in the area specified on the map in light of the military activities carried out by the terrorist Houthis regime there.”

“For your safety, we urge all those present at the Port of Hodeidah and the ships anchored there to evacuate the area immediately. Anyone who remains in the area puts their life in danger,” he added.

This comes just days after Israel launched intense airstrikes in Yemen, killing dozens, in retaliation for a Houthi drone attack that targeted an Israeli airport.

The Hamas-controlled Gaza Health Ministry reported that 59 people were killed and 386 wounded by IDF fire in the past 24 hours, as per an Israeli newspaper.

According to the ministry, 64,986 people have died and 151,312 have been injured since the beginning of the war.
