An AI generated video mocking Donald Trump, posted by Iran, has gone viral, highlighting growing mistrust between Iran and the United States over ongoing ceasefire talks, the video was shared by the Iranian consulate in Hyderabad on X. It shows an AI version of Trump waiting for Iranian officials who never arrive for negotiations.

In the 45 second clip, Trump is seen with Vice President JD Vance at a meeting table. The video uses 2,000 years later meme style from SpongeBob SquarePants to show time passing while no Iranian team shows up at one point, an aide gives Trump a note saying, Shut up, Trump, adding to the satire, the video ends with Trump saying he will extend the ceasefire at Pakistan’s request. Earlier, Trump had announced that the ceasefire would continue indefinitely to give more time for peace talks.

Iran has not yet confirmed if it will join the next round of talks planned in Islamabad. Iranian spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei reportedly said that Iran entered talks seriously, but believes the US has not shown good faith.

The viral video has gained attention on social media, with many users in Iran sharing it as a form of political expression, it shows how digital content, especially AI generated media, is being used to comment on international politics in a creative way.
