US authorities have arrested a man accused of planning an attack on Ivanka Trump, the daughter of US President Donald Trump. According to reports, the suspect was allegedly seeking revenge for the 2020 killing of Iranian military commander Qasem Soleimani in a US drone strike.

The accused, identified as 32-year-old Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood Al-Saadi, was reportedly arrested in Turkey and later extradited to the United States. Investigators claimed that he had a blueprint and details about Ivanka Trump’s Florida residence, where she lives with her husband Jared Kushner.

Former Iraqi military official Entifadh Qanbar reportedly said that after Soleimani’s death, Al-Saadi openly spoke about taking revenge on the Trump family. He allegedly said targeting Ivanka Trump would be a way to answer the killing of Soleimani.

Officials also claimed that Al-Saadi posted threats on social media platform X. One post reportedly showed the area around Ivanka Trump’s 24-million-dollar Florida house along with a warning message saying that “neither your palaces nor the Secret Service will protect you.”

US investigators believe Al-Saadi had links with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Iraqi militant group Kata’ib Hezbollah. Authorities have charged him in connection with several attacks and planned attacks in Europe and North America, including incidents involving Jewish targets and US-linked properties.

Investigators further alleged that he used a travel business as a cover to travel internationally and stay connected with terror networks. Al-Saadi is currently being held in solitary confinement at a detention center in Brooklyn.
