The Indian Embassy in Tehran has issued a fresh advisory asking Indian citizens not to travel to Iran and urging those already in the country to leave as soon as possible.

The advisory was issued on June 8 and shared on social media platform X. The embassy said that Indian citizens, including students, workers, and businesspersons currently in Iran, should use available transport options to leave the country at the earliest.

The warning comes as tensions in the Middle East continue to rise. In recent months, the region has seen a series of military attacks, and missile strikes involving Israel, Iran and Yemen-based Houthi groups. The situation has raised concerns about the possibility of a wider conflict in the region.

Because of the growing security concerns, the Indian Embassy has repeatedly advised citizens to remain cautious and stay updated on the latest developments. The latest advisory is one of the strongest warnings issued so far, asking Indians to avoid all travel to Iran until the situation becomes stable.

The embassy has also asked Indian nationals in Iran to stay in touch with the Indian Mission and follow official updates and instructions.

The security situation in West Asia remains uncertain, with fears that the ongoing tensions could lead to further escalation. As a result, India is closely monitoring developments and taking steps to ensure the safety of its citizens.

For now, Indian citizens have been strongly advised to avoid travelling to Iran and those already there have been urged to leave the country as soon as possible.
