Former prime minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has issued a clear directive to his party, stating that if anything happens to him, Chief of Army Staff in Pakistan Asim Munir should be held accountable.

In a post on X, the former PM said, “If any harm comes to me while I remain imprisoned, Asim Munir must be held accountable.”

He further mentioned that hardships inflicted upon him in jail have intensified in recent days, adding that the same is true for his wife, Bushra Bibi, who is also facing increasing restrictions.

He stated that the television in her cell has been shut down and that their fundamental human rights have been suspended.

Khan alleged that these actions are taking place at the behest of Asim Munir, as Colonel and Jail Superintendent Anjum have been acting under Munir’s guidance.

In the tweet, he also addressed his party members, stating, “I direct every member of the party to put aside all personal grievances. Publicly airing internal matters or individual concerns before the media is entirely unacceptable.”

He further emphasised, “This instruction is firm: whether a senior officeholder or a junior member, no one is to express internal differences on social media, electronic media, print media, or any other platform.”

He instructed all his party members to focus on the protest movement to ensure the restoration of fundamental rights in Pakistan.
