US intelligence thwarts potential terror attack in Michigan over Halloween weekend, FBI Director Kash Patel says ‘could have been tragic’

A terrorist attack planned in Michigan, United States was foiled by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The FBI arrested several suspects on Friday who were allegedly plotting a terrorist attack over the Halloween weekend, as per Director Kash Patel.
Taking to X, Patel wrote, “This morning the FBI thwarted a potential terrorist attack and arrested multiple subjects in Michigan who were allegedly plotting a violent attack over Halloween weekend.”

Patel told an American media channel that the FBI’s quick response prevented a potentially tragic situation from unfolding.
He said that through swift action and close coordination with local partners, a potential act of terror was stopped before it could unfold.
Patel said. “The vigilance of this FBI prevented what could have been a tragic attack — and thanks to their dedication, Michigan will have a safe and happy Halloween.”
