Elon Musk’s ‘weird Nazi salute-like’ gesture sparks controversy

The world’s richest person, Elon Musk was seen making a weird gesture during his speech at Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony at Capitol One Arena on Tuesday.
SpaceX CEO Musk has been embroiled in a controversy on his first day of joining the Trump administration, as netizens compare his hand gesture with a Nazi salute.
“This is what victory feels like,” said Musk.
Before making a hand gesture towards the sky at a 45-degree angle, Musk said, “Thank you for making it happen”.
It should be noted that after the gesture he said, “My heart goes out here”.
The Internet went into a frenzy of whispers after Musk’s gesture while some called him a Nazi and some had his back.
While US media outlets took Elon’s gesture a Nazi salute, netizens reacted differently. Some also gave examples of other US leaders making the same gesture in the past.
“I can’t take some of you people seriously anymore. I swear, some of you are just looking for negativity in everything. Elon Musk was simply excited and being goofy—yet some are claiming he did a Nazi salute. If that’s the case, then what are these people doing?” the user said.
“I have criticised Elon Musk many times for letting neo-Nazis pollute this platform. But this gesture is not a Nazi salute. This is a socially awkward autistic man’s wave to the crowd where he says “My heart goes out to you,” said another user.
