Elon Musk to step down from DOGE? Look what Trump says about the bizman, as per reports

Elon Musk, an entrepreneur, who has been leading efforts through Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to slash government spending under US President Donald Trump’s administration, is reportedly going to step away from his role, according to an American political news report. Citing three sources close to the matter, the report claims that Trump has informed his Cabinet and other key figures that Musk will soon return to focusing on his businesses.
Musk, who has been acting as a special government employee, was tasked with streamlining federal agencies and cutting government funding. While no official departure date has been given, both Trump and Musk have reportedly agreed that the billionaire entrepreneur will be stepping back soon, as per the reports.
Neither the White House nor representatives from Musk’s team have responded to requests for comment on the matter. However, the news has already made waves in the stock market. Shares of government contractors saw an uptick, while Tesla’s stock, were initially down.
Trump has recently acknowledged Musk’s departure but remained vague about the timing. When asked whether he wanted Musk to stay beyond his expected 130-day term, Trump reportedly told reporters that he thinks Musk is amazing, but he’s also got a massive company to run. At some point, he’s going back.”
