Delta flight from US to Netherlands faces turbulence, 25 hospitalised

A Delta flight from Utah, USA to Amsterdam, Netherlands, was diverted to Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport in Minnesota after it faced turbulence.
The flight DL56 was an Airbus A330-900, which landed safely at the MSP airport. The passengers and crew members were evacuated afterwards. According to an official statement by the airline, 25 of the people on board were transferred to local hospitals for evaluation and care.
According to flightradar24, the flight departed Salt Lake City at 22.45 UTC (4.15 am IST) and began its climb to 35,000 feet. At 23.19 UTC (4:49 am), DL56 began climbing to 37,000 feet. Shortly after reaching 37,000 at 23.23 (4:53 am), the aircraft encountered turbulence.
Later, it landed safely in Minneapolis at 00:51 UTC (6.21 am).
Responding to the incident, the airline released an official statement, saying “Safety is our No. 1 value at Delta, and our Delta Care Team is working directly with customers to support their immediate needs.”
This comes days after a viral video claimed to show a Delta Airlines flight to Atlanta making an emergency landing at Los Angeles International Airport.
The reports claimed that the engine had caught fire moments after takeoff, and all passengers and crew members on board were safe.
