A London court convicted Zhenhao Zou, a 28-year-old Chinese PhD student from University College London (UCL), of multiple counts of rape and related offenses.

The verdict follows investigations into his actions spanning from 2019 to 2023, revealing a pattern of drugging and sexually assaulting women in both the United Kingdom and China.

In addition to rape, Zou was reportedly convicted of voyeurism, possession of extreme pornography, false imprisonment, and possession of a controlled drug with intent to commit a sexual offense.

During the trial, he reportedly admitted to consuming extreme pornography, expressing a particular interest in videos depicting sex with unconscious women and rape roleplay. He also boasted of having multiple new sexual partners each month.

Authorities believe there may be up to 50 additional victims who have not yet come forward, based on video evidence. They are urgently seeking to contact these potential victims, as many may not even realise they were assaulted. UK officials reportedly cited calling Zou as one of the most dangerous sexual predators seen in the country.
