Chicago shooting: Four dead, 14 wounded by gunshots near album launch party

Gunshots echoed in the streets of Chicago in the United States as a fresh drive-by shooting was reported, killing four on Thursday, as per a report.

Several people were wounded during the shooting in Chicago’s River North neighbourhood, where an album launch party was going on. 

As per reports, someone opened fire into a crowd standing outside, and the vehicle immediately drove away, said police.

The police also informed local media that nine people, including the two women who died, were taken to Northwestern Hospital. Five people, including the two men who died, were taken to John H Stroger Hospital.

The investigation is underway.
