Bomb blast in Pakistan’s Quetta kills 10, injures over 30, emergency declared in hospitals

At least 10 people were killed and 32 others injured on Tuesday when a powerful bomb went off on a busy street in Quetta, the capital of Pakistan’s Balochistan province, according to local media reports.
Provincial Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar confirmed that the wounded were rushed to Civil Hospital Quetta and the Trauma Centre for treatment.
Following the explosion, the Balochistan Health Department declared a state of emergency in major hospitals, including Civil Hospital, BMC Hospital, and the Trauma Centre, ensuring that doctors, consultants, and paramedical staff remained on duty, provincial health secretary Mujeebur Rehman told reporters.
Authorities have cordoned off the blast site, while security forces and rescue teams continue operations as investigations into the incident are underway.
This is a developing story.
