All 67 bodies of plane crash in Washington recovered from Potomac river, one still unidentified

Authorities confirmed on February 4, that the remains of all victims from the tragic plane and helicopter crash over the Potomac River near Ronald Reagan National Airport have been recovered. However, one victim remains unidentified.

The crash, which occurred on January 30, involved an American Airlines passenger jet and a military Black Hawk helicopter during landing.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) provided updates indicating that the air traffic control tower display at DCA is fed by the Potomac TRACON (Terminal Radar Approach Control). This system fuses data from multiple radar sensors and ADS-B signals, offering precise flight tracking. Initial data revealed that the Black Hawk was at 300 feet at the time of the collision, though this figure is rounded to the nearest 100 feet.

NTSB officials stated that additional verification is required to confirm the exact data points from the Black Hawk. Recovery of the helicopter from the water, which is essential for the investigation, is expected to occur later this week. Authorities continue their efforts to gather all necessary information for a complete investigation into the incident.
