2 dead after small plane crashes near Hicks Airfield in Texas

Two people were killed after a small plane crashed near Hicks Airfield in Fort Worth, Texas, on Saturday afternoon, as per reports.
According to reports, the crash occurred around 1.30 pm on Sunday, in the 12700 block of North Saginaw Boulevard, near Avondale in Tarrant County. The aircraft, identified as a King Air twin-engine plane that had departed from Alliance Airport, went down near a group of parked tractor trailers, igniting multiple fires.
At least ten semi-trucks were reportedly damaged in the blaze, which also sparked grass fires in the area. The Fort Worth Fire Department (FWFD) reportedly brought the fire under control within 35 minutes, at around 2.11 pm.
Authorities dispatched 10 fire engines, 14 support vehicles, and three ambulances to the scene.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are now reportedly investigating the cause of the crash.
