11 injured in mass shooting in South Carolina’s Little River

A mass shooting incident in the Little River area of Horry County, South Carolina, left at least 11 individuals injured, authorities confirmed on Sunday. The Horry County Police Department (HCPD) responded to reports of a shooting on Watson Avenue and have since launched an active investigation.
The HCPD took to their official Facebook page to provide updates and urged the public to avoid the area as law enforcement and emergency personnel carry out their work.
“This is believed to be an isolated incident. There is no risk to the community at this time,” the department stated. “Community members are advised to steer clear of the area as public safety personnel do their work.”
According to officials, 11 individuals have been transported to local hospitals by Horry County Fire Rescue, and others are reported to have arrived at medical facilities by personal vehicles.
The authorities reiterated that this remains an active and ongoing investigation, and that information may evolve as the situation develops.
