Youth from Nepal murdered in Surat, probe launched

The murder of a 21-year-old Nepali youth has come to light in Surat’s Katargam. The family of the deceased has alleged that the son of the landlord in Gotalawadi, Surat, may have killed the youth. It is noteworthy that the real cause of death has not been revealed yet. The police have registered a case in this matter and are conducting further investigation.

Saroj Bahora of Nepal was strangled to death on Saturday. He had been living in Surat for the last three years and was working as a diamond polisher.

According to the information received, the youth was going out on Friday night when some people stopped him. Later, for some reason, an argument broke out between them and the attackers killed him.

The youth’s family has accused the son of the landlord of the house where the youth was staying on rent of the murder. The family has alleged that Saroj was killed due to old enmity. However, these allegations have not been confirmed yet.

The police have sent the body for postmortem and have registered a case of murder and are conducting further investigation.
