A case of harassment of a woman through social media has come to light in Vadodara. A 30-year-old teacher, originally from Kolkata and living in Navapura area, has filed a complaint with the police regarding this.

Early 2022, a message was allegedly sent to the victim, from the facebook messenger ID named Hiren Rajput, asking her how she was. The woman replied by asking not to message her and blocked that ID. Moving on to 2023, another message was sent from another ID named Smit RJ, and the woman ignored that, too, blocking it.

However, in the year 2025, the young man again sent a message under the name Hiren Rajput and continued to harass her by sending messages like "Do you like me, why are you so arrogant?" In February 2026, the man made comments like "My Valentine" and led her to file a police complaint, as per reports.

But the accused did not stop here. He repeatedly tried to contact the woman by creating new Facebook accounts. Not only this, he also kept an eye on her social media and threatened her by coming near her house, leading to mental stress for the victim.

Finally, the victim contacted the Navapura police. During the investigation, the name of the accused was revealed to be Hirenkumar Rameshbhai Rajput of Tarsali. As per reports, the police have registered a case against the accused under sections 78 and 351(2) of the BNS, detained him and are taking further action.
