Woman lures lover to Sabarmati Riverfront loots rs 6 lakh from him

A girlfriend turned robber as she allegedly planned to rob her boyfriend with the help of two other individuals.

Dharmesh Panchal, a resident of Chandlodia and a carpenter by profession was out with his girlfriend Priya Datani at Sabarmati Riverfront Walkway around 8 pm on Sunday.

As per reports, Priya had called Dharmesh at her home from where they went for dinner in Paldi and headed to Riverfront.

While they were on the walkway, two individuals seemed suspicious to Dharmesh, and her started moving away as he was carrying ₹7.45 lakh with him.

When the two suspects started to lose Dharmesh, Priya reportedly screamed,  “He’s running away, take the bag from him!”

Following a complaint, Riverfront East police registered a case and arrested Priya along with her two accomplices, Rubin and Rishi. Police Inspector T R Gadhvi stated that Priya had been struggling financially for a long time. Knowing that Dharmesh had a large amount of cash, she conspired with her associates to rob him.

Notably, Priya knew that Dharmesh had sold a property in Odhav under his mother's name six months ago for ₹22 lakh.

He used part of the money to repay loans and debts to friends and was left with ₹7.45 lakh in cash, which he kept with him. About a year ago, he had met Priya, a resident of Marwadi ni Chali, Madhupura.
