Woman killed in dumper hit-and-run on Kathwada road in Ahmedabad

Accidents continue to raise concern about road safety in Ahmedabad. On Saturday afternoon, a fatal accident occurred around 1 pm on the Kathwada road, resulting in the death of a woman after she was hit by a speeding dumper.

According to information received, the victim, identified as 31-year-old Madhu Devi, was passing through the Dastan Circle area when a dumper coming from behind rammed into her at high speed. The impact was so severe that she died on the spot.

Following the accident, a large crowd gathered at the scene. The dumper driver attempted to flee but was caught by local residents and handed over to the police. Police rushed to the spot, sent the body to Civil Hospital for postmortem, and registered a case against the driver.

During the preliminary investigation, police revealed that the accused dumper driver has a history of involvement in serious accidents, including incidents in which two people lost their lives earlier.

Police have arrested the driver and initiated strict legal action in the matter.
