Grandmother kills child in Amreli

In a disturbing incident from Rajasthali village in Amreli, a grandmother has been arrested for the brutal murder of her 18-month-old grandson. The tragedy unfolded when the child, who had been crying incessantly during the night, was reportedly silenced through a violent and cruel assault by the accused Kulsan Saiyyed.

Sources suggested that the child, identified as Rafik Saiyyed’s son, was found with suspicious injuries on his body beneath his sleeping carrier. Despite being rushed to the government hospital for treatment, he was declared dead upon arrival, leaving the family devastated.

The presence of injury marks prompted the family to alert the police. When authorities arrived at the hospital, family members claimed to be unaware of the circumstances surrounding the injuries.

Following this, the body was sent to Bhavnagar Medical College for forensic post-mortem, where the report revealed that the child had been subjected to severe physical abuse.

The findings indicated that the child had been ruthlessly beaten and inflicted with injuries across his body, leading to his death. The revelation left the police stunned.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Chirag Desai commented on the case, stating, “The investigation has focused on family members due to the gravity of the situation. After thorough questioning, the grandmother, Kulsan Saiyyed, confessed to the crime. She admitted to killing her 18-month-old grandson, Ali Razaq, during the night when he was crying incessantly. Overcome with frustration and sleepiness, she violently struck him and inflicted severe injuries by even resorting to biting him, leading to his unconscious state and eventual death. Kulsan has been arrested, and further legal action is underway.”
