Woman allegedly attacks security guard with cricket bat after dispute over children playing in Nava Naroda

A dispute over children playing cricket in a residential society in the Nava Naroda area escalated into a confrontation after a woman allegedly attacked a security guard with a cricket bat, prompting police intervention.

According to police, the incident occurred following an argument between residents and a security guard over children playing cricket within the society premises. The security guard had allegedly objected to the children playing and reportedly threatened them. He is also alleged to have attempted to assault some of the children during the altercation.

The incident angered residents, particularly a woman who confronted the security guard over his behaviour. During the ensuing argument, the woman allegedly picked up a cricket bat and attacked the guard, leading to a commotion within the society.

As tensions mounted, other residents gathered at the spot and efforts were made to prevent the situation from escalating further.

Upon receiving information about the incident, police personnel from the Krishnanagar police station rushed to the locality and brought the situation under control. Officers spoke to both parties and initiated efforts to resolve the dispute.

Speaking on the matter, V H Joshi, Inspector of Krishnanagar Police Station, said that no First Information Report (FIR) had been registered as both parties agreed to settle the matter amicably.

Police officials said the issue was resolved through mutual understanding and no formal complaint was lodged by either side.
