Before the controversy over a recent scuffle between BJP workers and the party treasurer in the city’s BJP office could rest, another incident has stirred fresh debate.

A video of the street celebration has gone viral on social media. The Police Commissioner had issued a public notice banning birthday celebrations in public spaces, citing law and order concerns. The viral footage has raised questions about whether authorities will take action against the ward president.

According to reports, Khairnar’s birthday celebration included cake cutting, fireworks, and a large gathering of party supporters outside Sai Baba Nagar Co-operative Society. The event was recorded and shared widely, further fueling public debate.

While ordinary citizens are often held accountable under the law, the bold public celebration by a local BJP leader has sparked criticism.
