Western Railway has announced timing and speed changes for eight trains operating under its Ahmedabad Division, with revisions taking effect to enhance passenger convenience and improve punctuality amid ongoing development work at Ahmedabad's Kalupur railway station.

The changes will result in trains arriving 5 to 30 minutes earlier or later at select stations, affecting both long-distance and premium services including the Mumbai-Hapa Duronto Express.

The revised schedules impact several key routes:

Premium and long-distance trains:

Mumbai–Hapa Duronto Express (superfast service)

Mumbai Central–Okha Saurashtra Mail

Bandra Terminus–Jammu Tawi Express

Regional connections:

Muzaffarpur–Porbandar Express

Delhi Sarai Rohilla–Rajkot Express

Dehradun–Okha Uttaranchal Express

Jaisalmer–Bandra Terminus Express

Delhi Sarai Rohilla–Bhuj Express

Western Railway officials stated that speed enhancements across these services necessitated partial changes in arrival and departure times at various stations within the Ahmedabad division.

Temporary service disruption

Separately, passengers on the Ahmedabad–Borivali Express will face service disruption from May 31 to June 2. The train will be partially cancelled and short-terminated at Vasai Road due to a 36-hour major block required for removing the elevated booking office at Kandivali Yard.

The affected train will return from Vasai Road instead of completing its usual journey to Borivali during this period.

Passenger advisory

Railway authorities have advised passengers to verify updated train schedules before travelling and adjust their journey plans accordingly. The timing changes are part of Western Railway's broader efforts to improve operational efficiency while accommodating infrastructure development projects.

Passengers can check revised timings through official railway websites, mobile applications, or at railway stations.
