Water samples taken from a few areas of five wards in Ahmedabad turned out to be undrinkable, revealed a report from the central laboratory of Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC).

The wards included Vatva, Isanpur, Behrampura, Asarva, and Jamalpur, where the water samples were taken from some residential colonies.

The water samples were taken from the Raghunandan Society in Vatva, Savan Society in Isanpur, Naranbhai Haribhai ni chali in Behrampura, Champa Mill ni chali in Jamalpur, and Umiya Nagar Society in the Asarva ward.

The report stated that the chlorine report of the water, taken from five spots in five areas, was nil, and therefore the water should not be consumed.

Moreover, the bacteriological report was also not satisfactory, requiring immediate action from the AMC to provide clean water for the spots.
